Inch By Inch – Through Failure Success
I took this during the Chinese New Year Celebration in Chinatown San Francisco. Lots of entertaining stuff out that day. Not to mention more than on great wall ;) to shoot. I'm going to have to put in some more miles in the city soon. I'm not shooting enough. Hope everyone is having a great week. Can't wait to end mine with a major brew fest at the Busalds in Marin. -Brett
Many of you know I’m now living in the Bay Area… and currently there is a Garry Winogrand exhibit @ SFMOMA! I haven’t been able to make it yet but I’m planning on seeing it this weekend… So if you’re in the bay are and can make it… COME! I’ll be there early afternoon, camera in hand. Drinks should be had after/before basking in the glory that is Winogrand!
If you’re me… you’ve recently run head long & hard into a wall of nothingness… I’m circling the drain, desperate for a morsel of creativity to lead me to my next project.
I keep calling out for inspiration but nothing answers back… The only song I can hear is Wild Horses… Over… and over & over and worse I know I’m just being lotioned up for Bill so he can sew my skin into a photographer suit and dance around my place.
Its been a long time since I’ve been back home to Indiana. I can’t help but think thats playing a role in my slump of creativity. I literally don’t feel like photographing anything.
Heres to hoping that the light at the end of this tunnel of no photos will decide to turn the fuck on soon… In the meantime I’d love any advice those of you out there might have for me.
How have you dealt with a lull in your on creativity, regardless of field?
